2022 FEC Deadlines

With the deadline for Year-End FEC filings due in one week, it's time to take note of other FEC deadlines this year. Since this is an election year, most committees must file either quarterly or monthly. Make sure that you don't miss a deadline by downloading our helpful one-pager of monthly and quarterly filing deadlines.

The frequency of filing depends on your committee type. For example, national party committees are required to file monthly while other types can choose to file each month or once a quarter. The FEC allows:

• Only quarterly reports – House and Senate campaign committees

• Only monthly reports – national party committees

• Quarterly or monthly – presidential campaign committees, PACs as well as state, district, and local committees

If a committee wishes to change their filing frequency, they must notify the FEC in writing and can’t change more than once a year. Please check with the FEC if you are unsure about when to file.
